I'm Nick Birch, a Media Production Professional
Welcome to my portfolio
Welcome to my portfolio
I have been working in the creative industries since 2000: mainly as an editor for local and international television series, commercials, documentaries, short films, corporate projects and music videos. I also produce, direct, shoot, sound-design and write. I wrote and illustrated a popular webcomic for three years, and now I'm starting to produce offbeat children's music. I've exhibited and sold paintings at the Richmond Fellowship Recovered Futures Art Exhibition in Brisbane City Hall and King George Square since 2019, a major annual event during Queensland Mental Health Week. I also hold a Masters of Creative Enterprise, with Distinction.
My extensive experience and natural affinity with clients and their vision makes me a favourite to work with, seeing the return of many satisfied customers.
I’ve worked on countless projects with TV networks, Hollywood producers, radio stations, mining magnates, airlines, actors, singers, dancers, lawyers, charities, designers, construction, children, animals, sports, tourism and even a volcanologist.
My enterprise is to make stories rise and shine in the most admirable, genuine, spectacular and engaging way possible.
Silly songs for kids
(and kids-at-heart)
Put down the washing-up for a minute and chase your little ones around to this terrifying children's song!
Kids, watch out for Daddy Monster and Mummy Monster before they catch you!
Here I come, here I come, better RUN!
My unbridled webcomic little life lines is currently being redistributed on webtoons.com weekly until June 2026.
It features a slew of charming, quirky and disturbing characters in a random series of sarcasm, depravity, horror and delight.
Warning: some coarse language and adult themes.
Digital Strips podcast talks about little life lines in episode 512.
